Herman Cain assigned Secret Service bodyguards
Herman Cain has become the first Republican presidential candidate to receive protection from the US Secret Service.
The former pizza executive is understood to have made the request for protection from the elite agency that guards the President and his family.
It is not clear why Mr Cain is being given protection now but the decision is not though to be connected with the shots fired at the White House on Friday.
Telegraph Story
There must have been a credible threat if the Secret service agreed to protection, makes him look more of a candidate and not the 'Art Project' his campaign has become.
